by virtue of Section 1 of the

Customs Act, 1890, the dividing

line is drawn at vessels of 250

tons In the case of Hong Kong

and the Treaty Ports of China the

type of vessel in question would

appear to be that covered by

Article 8, 9, 10 and 11 of the

Agreement. It is therefore

proposed to amend the draft by

inserting after the word "vessel"

in line 4 the words "if falling

within the categories described in

Articles 8, 9, 10 and 11 above."
